1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how RIDESHARE LIMITED ("Rideshare", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites, apps and brand platforms, including Football Rideshare, Mountain Rideshare, Surf Rideshare and Festival Rideshare.
This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use an app. They allow us to recognise your device, enhance your experience, improve performance and personalise content.
We use both first-party (set by us) and third-party cookies (set by external services).
3. Types of Cookies We Use
3.1 Essential Cookies — required for the Platform to operate. Used for login and authentication, security and fraud prevention, and basic functionality. These cannot be disabled.
3.2 Functional Cookies — remember your login status and preferences (such as language and filters) so the Platform works the way you expect.
3.3 We currently use only essential and functional cookies. We do not currently use analytics, performance, advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not place third-party tracking cookies (for example Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Meta / Facebook or LinkedIn). Cookies necessary for our payment provider (Stripe) and maps provider (Google Maps) may be set when you use those features.
3.4 If we introduce analytics, marketing or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this Policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting them.
4. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- Keep you logged in securely
- Remember your preferences
- Support core features such as Driver–Passenger matching, payments and maps
5. Cookie Consent
Because we currently use only essential and functional cookies (see Section 3), we do not display a cookie consent banner — no non-essential or tracking cookies are set that would require your consent. Essential cookies are always active as the Platform cannot function without them.
If we introduce non-essential cookies in future, we will present a consent mechanism allowing you to accept or reject them, and this Section will be updated accordingly.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies may be set by third parties whose services we use to operate the Platform, namely our payment processor (Stripe) and our mapping and geolocation provider (Google Maps), when you use those features.
We do not control third-party cookies and recommend reviewing those providers' privacy notices.
7. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can block or delete cookies via your browser settings:
- Chrome: chrome://settings/cookies
- Firefox: about:preferences#privacy
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy
- Edge: edge://settings/content/cookies
Blocking essential cookies may limit functionality.
8. Do Not Track Signals
Our Platform does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals due to lack of industry standards.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect legal or technical changes. New versions will include an updated "Last Updated" date.
