Post your drive
Set the destination, the day and how many seats you can spare. The price per seat is worked out from your vehicle and the distance.
Review requests
Their card is held from the moment they ask, so you can accept or decline without anyone being charged.
Agree the pickup
Sort out where and when to meet by message, then drive.
Confirm the trip, then get paid
The payment is taken after the trip. Your share follows once a 24-hour window for passengers to raise anything has passed, and you keep all of it.

Money held until the ride happens
Every seat is paid through the platform, so nobody hands over cash at a service station. Payment is held from booking and released to the driver after the ride. If the ride doesn't go ahead, the passenger is refunded.

No. Mountain Rideshare is cost-sharing only. A driver can recover a share of the fuel for a journey they were already making, and nothing more.
Drivers set out what their vehicle can carry when they add it, so you know before you request a seat.

Both use the same fuel split and the same held payment. The difference is timing.

They're used to tell you about the launch and nothing else. No third parties, and we delete them if you ask.
Staying safe
Read the whole profile before you request a seat, and message through the app if anything isn't clear. A profile shows:
- Which checks that person has completed: a confirmed email address, and a connected Google, Facebook or Apple account.
- Their profile photo, a short bio, and the sports they're into.
- How long they've been on the platform.
- For drivers, the vehicle, its kit space, and whether it's confirmed roadworthy and insured.
After a completed trip, drivers and passengers rate each other out of five and can leave a short written review.
- Neither side sees the other's rating until both have submitted, or two weeks pass.
- That means a rating can't be written in response to the one you were given.
- Ratings show separately for someone as a driver and as a passenger.
A rating only shows once a person has at least three, so a single trip can't define them. Below that they read as a new driver or new passenger, which is exactly what they are, not a warning. Early in the season, most of the community is in that position.
A badge means that specific check has been completed. They're shown individually rather than as one blanket "verified" label, so you can see exactly what has been checked, and what hasn't. We don't verify identity documents, and we don't claim to.

Agree a specific, public pick-up rather than a residential address.
- A station forecourt, a supermarket car park, or a lift base works well.
- Swap phone numbers once the ride is confirmed.
- Tell someone where you're going and who with, straight from the app.
Report a problem through the app within the complaint window. Because payment is held until after the journey, the driver's transfer is paused while our team looks into it, and the passenger can be refunded.
Drivers confirm their vehicle is roadworthy, taxed and insured for cost-sharing travel when they add it, and again when they post a ride, along with holding a valid driving licence.
- Rideshare Group is not a transport provider.
- Drivers stay responsible for their own vehicle, insurance and legal compliance.
- Keeping a ride to cost-sharing rather than profit is part of what keeps it within ordinary private-car cover.
Carpooling built for mountain travel and ski resort transfers
Mountain Rideshare is a community carpooling platform for people travelling to the mountains: skiers and snowboarders heading for the first lift, climbers and hillwalkers heading for the hills, mountain bikers driving to a bike park, and spectators travelling to a race weekend. Every ride is tied to a real destination rather than a city-to-city route, so pick-ups are set at lift bases, resort car parks and event venues.
